When MTV News caught up with Adrien Brody at SXSW, Academy Award winning actor confirmed earlier rumors that he was in consideration for the part of the Joker. Brody not only met with The Dark Knight's director, but was excited for a chance to play the part. "I met Chris on that," he said regarding the role that eventually went to Heath Ledger.

As the friends and relatives of the actor Corey Haim gather today at his funeral in Toronto, one can only imagine the anguish that comes with losing someone close at the relatively tender age of 38. The former child star was declared dead at 2.15am last Wednesday at the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Centre in Burbank, California, having collapsed at the nearby home of his mother Cheryl. A full explanation will not be available until the results of a toxicology report are disclosed in six to eight weeks,

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the DVD and Blu-ray debut of Terry Gilliam's latest head-scratching sci-fi wonder, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus on April 27, 2010. You'd expect no less from Terry Gilliam, and admirers of this singular filmmaker will be pleased to know that "Imaginarium" is one of his most original and accessible works.
